Amrita is a classically trained, “Concept-Based Dance Performer” and Choreographer with over years of experience in the field of Dance & Choreography. She is not only an Electrifying Performer but also an Ambassador of Performing Arts and Culture.

Apart from having a panache in the dance form of kathak, she is also very adept at myriad forms of other dance forms like- Classical, Folk, Ballet, Sufi Kathak, Rajasthani, Lavani, fusion and improvisation with all forms. With a creative, versatile and accessible style of Choreography, she has been garnering accolades in the field and boasts of being part of various mega events across India.

Lately she has won the Gold award in two categories i.e. Best Live performer Female and Best Choreographer at a live show, at the Spotlight awards, conducted by EEMA (Event and Experiential Management Association), India. EEMA is the only nationally recognized body of all event managers and wedding planners and the Spotlight awards are the highest category of awards given by a non-profit of peers and industry colleagues.

Apart from the above she also has been active in the Film, Advertisement, Modelling and TV industry. She has modelled in print advertisement of Jewelers, clothing lines, etc. and has been part of shows like Lapataganj and Savdhan India to her credit. She has been associated with some of the biggest brands of the country like: Aditya Birla Capital, Cadbury, Birla Shakti, Vodafone, SBI, Hometown, Tricon Energy, HPCL, HUL to name a few.

Apart from performing solo and with her team of dancers all over the nation, she also choreographs private functions and wedding Sangeets; conducts Corporate dance workshops for employs; and also for students of various colleges and schools.

BACKGROUND

Amrita Joshi, Dance performer, Choreographer & Actor was born in Indore, city of Holkar’s situated in the Central India. She is associated with art of dancing since she was 5 years old when she did her first school performance. After that she never looked back and started participating in dance competitions within and outside of her school. At the age of six she decided to take her passion to next level. She started learning kathak under the very able guidance of Puru Dadhechi Ji, Manisha Sathe Ji and Umar Dongra Ji, and soon she started performing in many renowned cultural events.

Apart from establishing a niche as a soloist, she has received critical acclaim for her choreographic works and the Dance workshops that she conducts.

Even after devoting her most of the time in practice and training, she was equally focused on her studies and never neglected her academics. She believes that education is very important for the overall development of artist’s personality. After completing her schooling, she did her bachelor’s in computer science from D.A.V.V University. And her Master’s in Media Management (specialization Film & TV Production) from International School of Business and Management (ISBM), Pune. At the same time, she completed her Visharad in Kathak from Gandharva University, Mumbai.

By this point, she already decided to make her talent as a career. After her Master’s she got opportunity to work for biggest Film production company, Yash Raj Films in Mumbai. She worked there as an Assistant Production Executive on movies. Since then she got chance to work with many renowned choreographers like Vaibhavi Merchant, Sanjay Shetty and Ahmad Khan.
